Bridges is an early intervention and prevention initiative that is designed to support families in providing a nurturing, stimulating and safe environment for their child(ren) and is part of the Family Resource Network in Alberta. Bridges focuses on supporting families to meet their basic needs; strengthening parent/child attachment and responsive caregiving, supporting the development of healthy relationships; increasing health and wellbeing, strengthening parenting skills including their knowledge of child and youth development and connecting them to community resources and services. Key responsibilities:
Maintain a trusting, supportive relationship with families by providing information and support through regular home visits, meetings, phone calls, case conferences, etc. Support families in the County of Newell. Utilize a family-centered approach to assist families in developing personal and family goals. At the request of an individual, advocate with them or on their behalf. Assist individuals in accessing community resources. Maintain program participant files. Participate in association and program promotion activities. Enter statistical data into a computer data base.
Qualifications: Degree or Diploma and/or 3 years related experience in a Human Service Field. Strong interpersonal communication, organization and administrative skills. Experience in strength-based, family-centered family support practice. Knowledgeable of community resources and services preferred. An understanding of the diversity, customs and traditions of Indigenous people and diverse multi-cultural populations is considered an asset. Experience working with computers, email and internet.
Must have daily access to a reliable, insured vehicle with current registration, insurance and have a valid drivers license. This position will be 40 hours per week. The work week is Monday to Friday, with day and evening work required. The starting date will be in April 2023. The wage for this position is $23.90 - $24.65 per hour, depending on education and experience.

FASS provides information, support and advocacy services to children, adults and families impacted by FASD. The Clinic Coordinator/Consultant is responsible for support and consultation services for caregivers of children affected by FASD and adults, as well FASD Neurodevelopmental Clinic Coordination duties.
